Hi, I am Abbi - Mum to Oriana. Thank you for taking a look at my blog!

 

Oriana is now seven years old and has Down Syndrome, which was a postnatal diagnosis. We had her before we were 30, there were no markers during the pregnancy, and we found ourselves propelled into a world we didn't expect to be in. As a result, I am passionate about supporting other mums and families in similar situations; to reassure them about the positives of this journey, give glimpses of what the future could look like, and encourage confidence in their ability as an additional needs parent.

The other purpose of this blog is to advocate for Oriana - to educate people on what Down Syndrome means and looks like in this day and age, highlight facts, and dispel myths. I talk a lot about inclusion and differences, and really believe in celebrating the things that make us unique, to raise confident children who play to their strengths.
